High Voltage DC Holiday Detector
Measuring Ranges
Model DC15: 0-15,000 Volts
Model DC30: 0-30,000 Volts
The compact holiday detector is a high voltage DC porosity detector also known as holiday detectors, spark testers, porosimeters or jeepers. These are used to ensure the longevity of coating systems by locating pin holes, air bubbles and porosity in non-conductive coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete.
Light weight ABS case
Momentary on switch allows for automatic shut off
Digital display of applied voltage with integral battery condition indicator
Voltage ranges of 0-15KV or 0-30KV, fully adjustable
Regulated DC voltage
Clip on battery pack
Constant test current
Sensitivity control
Overcharge protection
Single power supply
Earphones for noisy environments
Applications:
Used for detection of coating porosity (pinholes or holidays) in dielectric (insulation type) coatings on condutive substrates, including concrete.
Suitable for production pipeline coating operations, tankwork and structures. Ideal for use on storage tanks, valves and pipelines
.
High Voltage Pulsed Holiday Detector
Measuring Ranges:
P20: 2,000-20,000 Volts
P40: 5,000-40,000 Volts
P60: 10,000-60,000 Volts
The compact pulsed porosity detector is fully adjustable, has regulated "pulsed" output up to 20KV, 40KV, or 60KV. All pulsed models can be used for porosity and holiday testing of carbon impregnated coatings such as carbonated rubber, thick coatings such as rubber linings and on " plastic/fibreglass type coatings likely to become electrostatically charged.
Light weight ABS case
LED digital display of applied voltage
P20 and P40 holiday detectors are available in industrial and pipeline kits. The P60 is available only in and idustrial kit.
Voltage ranges of 2,000 to 20KV or 40KV and 10KV to 60KV, fully adjustable
Clip on battery pack
"Wet" or "Dry" condition sensitivity control on P20 and P40
Overcharge protection
Single power supply
Earphones for noisy environments
Low battery condition indicator
The pulsed 60KV model is the only portable battery operated model on the market capable of generating voltages from 10,000to 60,000 volts
Applications:
Regulated "pulsed" output is fully adjustable, ideal for use:
In moist conditions
On wet coating surfaces
On contaminated coating surfaces
On carbon impregnated coatings i.e. carbonated rubber
On "plastic"/fiberglass type coatings likely to become electrostatically charged
Coating thickness range: 6-1000mils (150-25,000um) with P40, and even thicker with P60
DC Inspector Porosity Detectors
Measuring Ranges:
0-10,000 Volts with 9V battery
0-20,000 Volts with 12V External Battery
"Single" handheld, light weight porosity detector for simplicity and ease of operation. Designed with the inspector in mind weighs only 460g.
LED bargraph display of voltage
LED battery condition indicator
Integral probe
Audible & visual alarms
Applicaitons:
Porosity detection of tanks, valves, pumps, pipeline field joints and general inspection and maintenance.
Wet Sponge Pin Hole Detector
Measuring Range: 0-20 mils (0-500um)
Test Voltages: Selectable 9, 67.5 or 90V
LED display of voltage
Internally mounted 9V battery
Low Battery condition LED indicator
Telescopic handle for user confort (ectends to 4')
Large probe head (9" x 1.57") and wider sponge gives faster tests
Earphone jack to allow testing in noisy environments
Applications
Use the wet sponge method to detect pinholes in thin coatings
